Accommodations

Participants will stay Saturday and Sunday nights at the Council Grove High School gymnasium. This will be “indoor camping” – riders should bring a sleeping bag, air mattress and pillow (a full packing list is below). Those wishing an outdoor experience may pitch a tent on the school grounds. Riders preferring accommodations other than the High School must make their own arrangements – you may camp at Council Grove Reservoir, or stay at an area lodging establishment.

Riders

Transporting Your Gear

An enclosed trailer will transport rider’s gear from Topeka to Council Grove and back. All gear should be in the trailer by 7:45 am on Saturday and 8:30 am on Monday. Riders are responsible for loading and unloading their own gear, and Kaw Valley Bicycle Club will not be responsible for any gear damaged in transit. The truck will arrive at Council Grove High School at approximately 11:30 am on Saturday and at the same time at Washburn University on Monday.
